TOURS OF ADDIS ABEBA
AND EXCURSION
For those who have only a day or less to spend touring the capital, we have a variety of one-ore half day tours. You may visit the breath-taking overlook of the Blue Nile Gorge; the mysterious Tiya Stelae, a UNESCO World Heritage site; or take in some of the finest museums in Africa.
Half Day Tour:: National Museum, comprised many archaeological and historical artefacts including the famous hominid fossil “Lucy”.Mercato, the largest open-air market in Africa. Here you will be given a fascinating glimpse of the vast range of goods from all parts of the country. Mount Entoto, with an altitude of 3200 meters is the highest peak in the Addis Ababa region. It was the site of the first palace of Menelik-II, the founder of Addis Ababa, and offers wonderful views of the surrounding forests and the capital below.
Full Day Tour:
This tour includes the sites on the "Addis Ababa Half Day" tour and also includes: Ethnological Museum, it has complete collections that describe almost all the tribal groups in Ethiopia. Here you will have an overview about the history, culture, and traditions of the people of Ethiopia. Trinity Cathedral, a beautiful church with a baroque style of European architecture that is unique to both Ethiopia and Africa. Many renowned Ethiopians are buried in the church grounds and the tombs of Emperor Haile Selassie and his wife are inside the church.St. George Cathedral,  located in the heart of the city, this is where Emperor Haile Selassie was coronated.
Adadi Maryam and Tiya Stele Tour:  Adadi Mariam is a subterranean rock-hewn church similar to those of Lalibela and close by the church are the stelae of Tiya. The monuments are the remains of an ancient Ethiopian culture. Wonchi Crater Lake,  the beautiful legacy of a once powerful volcano. A hiking path from the rim of the volcano meanders past small farms and forests to the lake below.  An ancient island church, Cherkos, is accessible via a boat ride across the lake.

LALIBELA TOUR
4 days

If you want to see only one attraction in Ethiopia, it is: " Lalibela". It is the
highlight of every trip.
Our travel packages have no fixed departure date. We offer private individual tours. A flexible tour with your own guide and car etc., which can be done at any time. Visit the magnificent rock churches of Lalibela, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 1: Flight - to Lalibela,
We  see the largest monolithic church in the world, a labyrinth of corridors and tunnels. Intricately carved reliefs and examples of icon painting can be seen in the first group of
Laibela churches.
All nights: Blue Nile Hotel.
Day 2: Lalibela
In the morning we will do a morning walk with mules to Mount Asheton with its 13th century rock monastery and its great location overlooking the city. In the afternoon we continue our tour through the churches of the 2nd and 3rd group of Lalibela until sunset.
Day 3: Yemrehane Kirstos
Drive to Yemrehane Kirstos (2 hours). The marble church of Yemrehane Kirstos was built in front of the Lalibela churches with a completely different architectural style through the use of marble and wood. The church is located in a cave. Drive through different villages and get to know the local culture on the plateau. In the afternoon you will return to Lalibela for dinner.
Day 4: Return flight to Addis Ababa
You will have a half-day city tour. Visit the National Museum and other attractions. Dinner in one of the traditional restaurants.

HISTORIC ROUTE
13 days

You will visit a number of places, such as the castles in Gondar, the Simien Mountain National Park, the granite stone stele of Axum and the rock churches of Lalibela (one of the eight wonders of the world). Let yourself be surprised by the "Blue Nile Falls" and enjoy a boat trip on the beautiful Lake Tana with a visit to the monasteries on the islands. Discover Ethiopia.

Day 1: Addis Ababa
Arrival in Addis Ababa at the Bole Int. Air port and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Addis Ababa
Full day city tour in Addis Ababa. (National Museum, Ethnographic Museum, Mount Entoto, St. Trinity Cathedral, St. Mary Museum, Merkato Market.)
Day 3: Bahir Dar
Drive to Bahir Dar.
See the fantastic Blue Nile Gorge.
Day 4: Bahir Dar
We drive to the "Blue Nile Falls". (Tissat) On a boat trip we visit the monastery church of Ura Kidane Mihiret, the most famous of the monasteries with a collection of icons.
Day 5: Gonder
We drive to Gonder, which is 180km from Bahir Dar. Gonder was the first capital of the Ethiopian Empire, from 1632. In Gonder there are many castles of different emperors. We will visit the Fasilidas Palace and the church of Debre Berham Selassie
(Light of the Trinity). Decorated with frescoes, angels and paintings.
Day 6: Debark
Drive (130km) from Gonder to Simien Mountain National Park. Debark is a small market town at an altitude of 2700 meters near the border of the National Park. After registering for the park we drive to Sankober. From the road you have a magnificent view of the Simien mountains. On the track you can see  lammergeiers, many other birds and baboons.
Day 7: Axum
After breakfast, drive to the ancient city of Axum through the valleys of the Simien
and Tekeze valleys.
Day 8: Axum
City tour in Axum (UNESCO World Heritage Site) According to legend, the son of the Queen of Saba u. King Solomon brought the Ark of the Covenant to Axum, where it is still kept in a secret place. We will visit the stele of Axum, the tombs of King Caleb and his son King Mesekel, the Ezanas stone inscription, and Palace of the Queen Shaba.
Day: 9 Mekelle
Drive to Adigrate in the Adwa mountains. En route visit the Yeha Temple, which is more than 2500 years old. Drive to Debre Damo, the first monastery in Ethiopia from the 6th century. On the way visit the rock church of Wukro Cherkos (4th century)
Day 10: Lalibela
Scenic drive via Sekota to Lalibela (300km).
Day 11: Lalibela
Visit the monolithic churches, from the 12th century knocked out of granite rock.
Day 12: Kombolcha
Drive to Kombolcha (325km) Highlands of Dilb and Lake Hayk.
Day 13: Addis Ababa/Departure
Return to Addis Ababa. Stopover in the Gemassa Plateau, with views of the Great Rift Valley. Evening program in a traditional restaurant, transfer to the airport for departure.
